How do I move ChangePilot Dashboards to a different Workspace?

After installing the ChangePilot Dashboards (Power BI), it will go into a new Power BI Workspace. The Dashboards can be moved to another location/Workspace by downloading the file and uploading elsewhere.

Once the ChangePilot Dashboards have been installed (Power BI pack from App Source), the file is saved in a distinct Workspace by default. This is named the same as the app pack. If you wish to to move the Dashboards, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to PowerBI.com and locate the new Workspace created by Dashboards App install.
  2. Click the ellipsis of the Semantic model and select 'Download this file'. This will save as a .pbix file.
  3. Navigate to the Workspace you wish to have the App. Click 'Upload', where you can then upload the .pbix file you previously downloaded via the 'Browse' option.

  4. Delete the Dashboard created, retaining the Report and Semantic Model.

  5. Click 'Create App'. Enter an app name 'ChangePilot Dashboard' and enter a description for your internal audience. You can download the ChangePilot logo for your App here.
  6. Click 'Next: Add Content' - here select only the report to show
  7. Click 'Next: Add Audience' - here select group linked to your new ChangePilot Team. This will ensure all members of that team will be dynamically added.
  8. Click 'Publish app' when done.
