Landing Page

An overview of every open Message Center item, with counters, charts and owners you can select to see the items behind them.

The Landing Page gives you a one-screen overview of every open Message Center item in ChangePilot: how many there are, where they sit, how much they affect admins and users, and who owns them. Every number on the page can be selected to list the items behind it.

To open it, select Landing Page under Dashboards & Reports in the ChangePilot App's left-hand menu.

What counts as open

An item is open if its status is anything other than Closed. Items with no status count as open too. Closed items aren't shown anywhere on the page.

Counters across the top

Counter What it shows
At Risk Open items with a Standard Start between today and 7 days from now. These are the changes about to land.
Open items All open items.
New, To Discuss, In Review Open items at each status.
No status Open items with no status set. It only appears when there are some.

Your company logo is shown on the left (see Showing your company logo below). The Refresh button on the right reloads the latest data.

Charts

  • Open items by service category: one bar per service category (for example Teams, Exchange and Outlook, or SharePoint and OneDrive), largest first. Items with no category are grouped under Not set, at the end.
  • Open items by admin impact and Open items by user impact: open items split into Low, Medium and High, plus Not set where an impact hasn't been recorded.

Open items by owner

This table lists every person and team that owns at least one open item. It has a column for the total open items and one for each status, plus At Risk.

  • Use All, People or Teams above the table to show only one type of owner. Teams are marked with a Team label.
  • Select a column heading to sort by it. Select it again to reverse the order.

Seeing the items behind a number

Select any counter, chart bar or number in the owner table, and a list of those items opens at the bottom of the page.

  • The list shows each item's MCID, title, service category, status, admin and user impact, owner and Standard Start.
  • The latest Standard Start comes first. Ten items are visible at a time; scroll inside the list to see the rest.
  • Select an MCID to open that Message Center item.
  • To close the list, select the same number again, or select the X at the top right of the list.

Showing your company logo

The logo in the top left comes from the Company Logo environment variable. Until it's set, the ChangePilot logo is shown. To show your own logo, an administrator can:

  1. Go to Power Apps and choose your ChangePilot environment.
  2. Open Solutions, then the ChangePilot solution, then Environment variables.
  3. Open Company Logo and, under Current value, enter the web address (URL) of your logo image. Then save.

The image must be hosted somewhere that lets other websites display it. Many company websites block this, and if yours does, the ChangePilot logo is shown instead. A file uploaded to your organisation's public file or image hosting usually works.

Good to know

  • The page shows the items you have access to in ChangePilot.
  • Figures are worked out when the page opens. If items have been updated since, select Refresh.
  • The page works on smaller screens and phones: the sections stack one under another.
